School History
In early 1945, St. Paul Lutheran Church voted to open a Christian Day School in the church basement on the corner of 28th St. & Quincy Ave. The school opened in September, 1945 under the direction of Dr. Martin Kirch, with only eight students working at picnic tables. Dr. Kirch would drive and pick up the students at their homes and bring them to school each day.
