Welcome to 2nd and 3rd grade! My name is Mrs. Paula Stuart. My husband, David, and I have two grown sons. I love to exercise, be outside, work in my yard, garden, and hike.
SOMETHING ABOUT ME
I graduated from Concordia Teachers' College in Seward, Nebraska in 1975. I received my first call as a teacher to Ogden, Utah and I have been here ever since. I have taken one-day workshops periodically that have given me ideas for my classroom and to strengthen my teaching.
MY PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy for 3rd grade is that this grade is a turning point for a child in regard to the amount of skills learned. 2nd grade is continuing to teach the foundational skills in all of the core subjects. Being responsible and accountable for work and behavior can be achieved in both 2nd and 3rd grade. I believe the key is VARIETY - do a little bit of everything in all kinds of way. I also feel that everything is possible with practice and prayer.
CLASSROOM GOALS
Our Classroom Goals are to work, play, and live together in our 2nd and 3rd grade community and to be the best 2nd and 3rd graders that we can be.
