7th & 8th Grade Class
Joshua Rempfer
(801) 392-2912
Welcome to 7th and 8th grade! My name is Joshua Rempfer. I seek to see my students grow academically and spiritually. While teaching the everyday curriculum we, at St. Paul, have the unique opportunity to share the gospel. I have the privilege of seeing young people grow. I see growth in academic areas. I see growth in the amount responsibility they take on. Most importantly, I see them growing in their faith. That is a blessing found in very few jobs. I am blessed to be here.
SOMETHING ABOUT ME
I have lived and taught in Utah for 6 years. All of those years have been here at St. Paul. I love any sort of sporting activity, except NASCAR. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and most of all playing golf. I stay actively involved with both school and church activities.
I graduated from Concordia University, Seward, NE in 2001 with degree in Elementary Education. I have concentration in Mathematics and an LTD (Lutheran Teachers Diploma).

CLASSROOM GOAL
Our classroom goal is very simple. I want to see each student prepared to move on to the next level of their education. I want to provide them with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in high school and college.
CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
The day begins at 8:15. We pray together and then 8th grade literature begins. Following 8th grade lit. the 7th grade comes in for Math. At the conclusion of 7th Math, 8th returns for Math and Religion. In the afternoon I teach 6th History followed by 7th grade Religion. On various days the 8th grade also have Health and PE in the afternoon.
In 8th grade we have trivia contest weekly for which the students earn tallies. When the tally marks add up to 100. They have the opportunity to earn free days. Free days can include all sorts of fun activities.
I hope this gives you a good idea what goes on in the 8th grade at St. Paul Lutheran School.
In His Name,
Joshua Rempfer
