Welcome!!
Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Jeanette Singleton.
SOMETHING ABOUT ME
I grew up in Utah and began teaching in Morgan, Utah. I was married the following year. My husband and I moved to Southern California where we both began our careers. I was working in a private learning center where I completed assessments, made recommendations, provided lesson plans and instructions for teachers, as well as taught students.
I have two children. Parenting has been my
passion for the last 22 years.
I also have a love for teaching. I have enjoyed teaching for over 20 years. It is truly the most enjoyable and rewarding profession. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Weber State Univesity
I began teaching in 1979. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th grade in a classroom setting. I have also had the opportunity to teach every grade level (Kindergarten through Adult) in a private learning center.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Every child is a gift from God. Each one brings honesty, humor, and an unconditional love to every situation. Every child should feel success every day. In the successes throughout each day, he/she can grow emotionally, socially and academically.
GOALS
First, every student that I teach should know his/her Lord and Savior. Each student should realize that our Lord gives us strength to work through every challenge that we face. He is with us all the time. He died on the cross to give us eternal life and is with us now and forever.
Second, my goal for every child is to be given the opportunity to be successful every day. Every skill taught in Kindergarten is a building block to enhance the following years. Every student in Kindergarten should have the tools he/she needs to be prepared to start 1st grade. Every student is unique and will grow emotionally, socially, and academically when he/she is developmentally ready.
